Lots of people ask us where we’re based. Like its makers, Sing Gin is born and bred in Yorkshire.
The name ‘Sing’ comes from Kettlesing, a village in the Yorkshire Dales. This is where we live and where we work in our Yorkshire distillery.
Who doesn’t love a gin hamper? The perfect gifts for drinkers of gin, our hampers rise to any occasion – from birthdays to anniversaries, congratulations to new homes, Christmas or just to say thank you. Discover our range of luxury gin hampers here.
Kettlesing near Harrogate is an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
The sleepy hamlet we call home has a smattering of cottages you can rent for a staycation. We enjoy a slower pace of life, with all the convenience of urban living close at hand in Harrogate.
The peace and quiet in Kettlesing gives us plenty of headspace to dream up new products and cocktail recipes for Sing Gin. In fact, it’s the quiet beauty of Kettlesing that inspired our founder Ian to create a gin that evoked the nature of the Yorkshire Dales!
Our distillery is just behind our family home in Kettlesing. In pride of place, you’ll find our steel and copper still Bella (named after our first dog). We use Bella to infuse our grape spirit with the hand-crushed botanicals. You can find out more about the botanicals used in our gin if you’d like to take a deeper dive into our world.
Next to Bella stands the thumper where the liquid is cleaned and excess water removed. Then on the right is the condenser where the vapour becomes Sing Gin!

We launched just three years ago and have watched Sing Gin grow ever since. We’ve since added a 20cl bottle to the family, which has proved very popular.
We’re very lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful, historic landscapes – including the Royal Studley Water Garden at Fountains Abbey, one of the main inspirations behind Sing Gin. If you’re ever up this way, we recommend you go take a look.
Nearby Harrogate is a beautiful historic town. Formerly known as a spa town, today the destination offers great shopping, museums and gardens.
Ripley Castle isn’t far from us either. It’s open to the public all year and you can easily spend a day exploring the gorgeous estate.
We also have National Trust – Brimham Rocks near us. This is an area with 400 acres of moorland boasting unique rock formations that make great photo opportunities.
