At one time, gin subscriptions clubs were something of an elite gin drinker’s secret, and you had to be well and truly in the know to be a member.
But with the monumental rise in people who appreciate gin and more recently, the pandemic forcing us all to enjoy our G&Ts at home rather than in the local pub, gin subscription clubs have become increasingly popular. There are quite a few great gin clubs in the UK today. They vary from large companies to tiny start-ups that champion small batch distilleries, and you can even find gin subscription clubs that will help you discover gins made in your local area.
Perfect for gin enthusiasts who enjoy trying new and exciting spirits, a gin subscription box offers an easy way to discover new gins.

Some gin clubs offer regional service, where the company works with local gin brands to help people in the area support their local distillers.

Jon Hulme and John Burke, business school friends who met while studying in Madrid, founded Craft Gin Club in January 2015. They were inspired by their favourite Spanish-style gin and tonics and have appeared on Dragon’s Den, ultimately winning investment from Sarah Willingham, who now works closely with the company as a member of its board. It’s now the biggest gin subscription club in the UK and they offer gift memberships.
